Pigment and Passage The Chromatic Rhythm of a Jurassic Heritage Village

"My journey through the Fine Art MA at Falmouth University has been a profoundly transformative and immersive experience, acting as a catalyst for a deep, systemic shift in my identity as a practitioner. The curriculum has pushed my creative boundaries, demanding rigorous material exploration and a vulnerable willingness to challenge my own assumptions. By engaging deeply with contemporary theory and a vibrant creative community, my studio work has evolved beyond mere aesthetic exercise. It is now consciously situated within a broader cultural, environmental, and social landscape.

This entire evolution now converges in my Final Major Project: Pigment and Passage—The Chromatic Rhythm of a Jurassic Heritage Village. Comprising a cohesive body of six paintings, this work interrogates the deep time, material history, and shifting landscapes of the Jurassic Coast. This definitive project will culminate in a public facing exhibition hosted at my Exeter art studio, 23-25 October 2026 serving as both the synthesis of my master’s study and the launching pad for my ongoing professional practice."
